Howzzat there is a CLEAR clause in that statement
"If we cannot even contribute $10 a month". There is a clear IF in that statement. And yes after all that IV has done and all the advantage IV members have obtained FREE OF COST just by sitting on the fence (on their behinds), while the core team, who by the way have full time jobs AND families, slogged MORE THAN FULL TIME to get IV's very first goal to be achieved, THEN I say I am FULLY JUSTIFIED in calling those people CHEAP.

I have a question concerning my EAD.Company A applied for my H-1B After an year I have trfd my H-1 to company B and I have been working with company B for the past 2yrs 10 months.My H-1 b is due to expire in feb 2009.Company B Applied for my green card also. I-140 approved in November 2007.I got EAD in oct 2007 and has a valid EAD up to aug 2010.technically I am on EAD since I entered the country on advance parole.Now my company is going to renew my H-1 B .In light of the bill that has been passed which doesnot allow forfresh H-1 B as well as H-1 B renewals,what happens to my EAD if my H-1 renewal petetion gets denied?Does denial of non immigrant petetion leads to denial of immigrant visa (i.e pending adjustment of status).What happens to my EAD.I am worried a lot.Pls advice?Should I request my company to stop the renewal process so that I can stay on EAD only.

A petition under subsection (a)(1)(D) of this section for an individual whose application for adjustment of status pursuant to section 1255 of this title has been filed and remained unadjudicated for 180 days or more shall remain valid with respect to a new job if the individual changes jobs or employers if the new job is in the same or a similar occupational classification as the job for which the petition was filed.
So the 180 days count starts from the I-485 RD. Not even notice date.

Hi,
I came to US on h1b in 2007.
I got my labor substituted in 2007 in EB3. My priority date is December 2004.
I got my 140 approved in january 2008. Its been 2 yrs since.
I dont have EAD.
I dont know when the date will be current. But the problem is,
My client wants me to join their company. Can I leave my current company and still maintain my priority date. Do h1b companies normally cancel the i140 if employees leave.
if i join the new company I am planning to start GC in EB2 again. Is it wise to do so. Can I port my Priority date. Or should I stick onto my existing employer.
How much time its taking now a days to get the Labor and 140 in EB2.
ANy help and advice in this regards will be very much appreciated

Reminder: Those living in highrise apartments or large apartment complex should put up the names of their family members on the mail box such that the green card mails are not returned to the USCIS. Under the current USCIS policy, the U.S. Postal Services are not permitted to deliver the USCIS enevelope with "Return Requested" red stamp other than the specific individual named on the envelope. This is particularly true with the green card delivery.

Our inability to apply for I-485 due to unethical behavior of USCIS is not covered by any major news channel. I searched in google and looked up all major news web site, non has this news. When all these news channels can cover illegal immigrations, why cant they have some space for legal immigration. We are legal immigrants, shouldnt be afraid of anything. We pay a lot of taxes and we dont diserve this 3rd rated treatment. So go call every major news channel in your local area and request them to cover this news. I called Fox10, ABS15 & AZ Republic in Phoenix area. Spread this news and create awareness and we should be able to get justice.

I totally agree. There has to be some way to differentiate else we will be stuck in another retrogression with a few millions people in line.

In my humble opinion simple and easyway to distinguish ourselves from illegal immigrants is to have a premium processing for GC. What ever may be the solutions there will always be backlogs either in Labor or I140 or I485 because we are on the same track as millions of others..
From DOL perspective there is no benefit for them to process our applicatins faster than other applications..or they may simply be lacking resources to treat us as we want them to..
I don't think any high skilled professional would mind paying lilttle extra ( or significantly extra) if the process is certain and fast because once we have the GC we will not be at mercy of employers at the time of raises or need not be stuck in less paying jobs etc..
I request IV to incorporate this in their agenda.

1) I have heard from someone that there is a statement on their website that the transit visa is required only if the stay is more than 10/20 hours.
2) Where do they check for the transit visa? is it done while boarding into the airport in US or while entering into the German airport? If they find that we don't have a transit visa in Frankfurt airport, what would they do?
Please answer to my questions, this is really needed for me to act on getting the transit visa.
