We had our passport photos taken from Walgreens to file for AP. USCIS sent me an RFE requesting photos. I was not sure what was wrong the first time. I got the next set of photos done from the postoffice.
We did not take any shortcuts but still got an RFE for photos.

I just realized that I didn't explain what HDR is- The idea is to take a series of more or less 10 photos with different shuttle speeds and then composite them into one unique image that will capture all the light effect due of the high range of the natural light.

Rollingstone is right. There are chances of the 7th year extension only if your labor is 365 days pending or have an approved labor/I-140. If one of these applies to your case then you should have activated your 3 months of H1B in premium processing. Why didnt you do the premium processing? Now that your 6 years of H1 have ended i really doubt USCIS will consider your case and give the 7th year extension. Not trying to scare you but that's what I feel.

I saw so many RFE recently. I am wondering If there is RFE, the attorney can not represent me. Can i just send RFE by myself to CIS? Or the attorney has to do it.

If I work on EAD for company XYZ then will I loose my H1B with company ABC?
If company 'ABC" is a consultant company then..make a deal with them and work thru them for XYZ for 2-3 months and take transfer to xyz.
Otherwise you have no other option than using EAD.

Frist's enforcement only bill will be very popular in the house, but is unlikely to pass the senate. There seems to be quite a few republican senators (Specter, Mccain, Graham, Brownback to name a few) who might vote against any bill which is not "comprehensive". They along with the dems easily have more than 50 votes to block. Now, even if Frist's passes senate, it has to be reconciled with the house version - there are plenty of vocal anti EB folks there and hardly anyone pro. So if push comes to shove, Frist would probably agree to drop the EB provisions and pass rest of the bill , so that he can take credit and hit the '08 presidential campaign trail.
Specter's will easily pass the senate, will be a miracle if it passes the house - senate conference commitee in its present form. The only hope is all the attention will be on the amnesty provisions and negotiations surrounding that, and the EB part of it will fly under the radar.

This is a very positive development. Chinese are suing based on EB3 China visas used in 2008 & 2009 which were 2058 and 1077 respectively. Which are far less than 2500 that the law actually allows without spillover. This is awesome. Go Chinese friends!

Do we (EB3I) know the number of applicants who were approved green card from EB3 I in the last three years? I suspect that the same would have happened here too. We need to also follow (Law) suit.

I have a similar problem with 2 485s, one as primary, one as dependent. The PDs are 18 months apart, and both are not going to be current in August. Had ending up filing both in the July fiasco because both attorneys were dillydallying on filing and we were hoping atleast one gets through, now both did.
My attorney is now advising me NOT to withdraw one on my own, because USCIS in its own confusion might end up withdrawing BOTH petitions. This also happened to someone recently on the forum (I-140 in one case got denied, and all four 485s were denied, without USCIS realizing that 2 were tied to another I-140 which is still around). He believes we will either get an approval outright and the second petition will be automatically nullified, or we'll get an RFE.

I just thought of sharing some good news. I spoke this afternoon with USCIS office about my pending EAD(renewal), at the same time I asked the lady to check my I485 (PD: 11/08/2005), she forwarded my call to Level 2 support guys. He said FP,NC,Back ground check everything is cleared and also case is assigned to IO.
Just a small suggestion/clue to my friends,
when ever they ask "when did u file the application(I485) tell them your PD not the date that we all recently applied(if you have applied recently, I mean last year Jul/Aug)". Also don't call them on Mon-Wed, call them on Thursday or Friday (I recommend), so they will answer you guys politely. Complement for every say of them. Just a good word or humble will pay us back. I am sure about that.
Please don't take me wrong.
