I went in for a 16GB black AT&T and 5 hours later I left with the last 16GB white Verizon. I can live with the white so far, it's pretty cute, but if I hate Verizon I'll return it and wait for AT&T.

The fact is, little will likely change. We'll still keep buying cold war era weapons like the F-22.

But it's a lot easier (and often better received) :confused: to just blow **** up, so we usually do that instead.

I liked the way the interface was positioned on virtual panes. The transitions were nice and did help orient yourself in a physical space. BUt that's about it. The rest is a pile of Android garbage.
I hate to be so harsh on Android. I really would like to see the UI improve. It's just so painfully obvious that Google doesn't really have strong top-down direction on streamlined user interfaces. It's run by developers who like tinkering and options. In other words, the OPPOSITE of what your consumer facing product interface should exude. I really believe it's a problem with design philosophy over there. Certainly, a rush to market is another large factor.

I'd rather it be an automatic process.

Given that I've never had a problem with availability, I'm actually interested in an app that promises to stay current without my having to download maps manually ahead of time.

If you turn off 3G, do you get the correct time?
I haven't tried that yet, but I did turn off my automatic time and it went to the correct time then I turned it back on (thinking that it would re-sync) but it didn't.
Well I have power cycled my phone now and it switched to the right time after it connected into the network, but has since fell back an hour.

I thought the difference between little/big endian was that the byte order was flipped, not the bit order. So 01 in BE/LE would always be 1, 10 - 2, etc. Or am I wrong?
You are correct!!! 10 will always be 2. 01 will always be 1. Endianness swaps the bytes, not the bits. Binary addition would be hell if the bits were swapped... Plus then writing bit-operators and using bit-masks in C would just be a pain in the arse when it came time to compile that game for 5 different platforms.

On the one hand he is right.
I work in IT, and the iPad to me is just a novelty toy.
I have one an use it for just 2 things(reading the newspaper and watching movies on the train to my work). And for just those 2 things it is rather expensive.
On the other hand the thing I liked the most about OS X, is that is able to be used hardcore-IT people(thanks to being a UNIX) and complete noobs. And this is something I miss in the iPad(for the iPhone I don't care, i have an SSH-app in case of emergency when I'm not near a computer and that's it.
Making couchbrowsers(cause thats what iPads are mostly used for) for non-tech people is good.
But I just hope they still care about tech-savy people in OS X.
