That is not true about TSC. I applied about 5 weeks ago and did E-Filing. I got the receipts within a week but so far no updates and no LUDs on the receipt number also.

Can we do something about this.
Maybe we can go to a federal court saying it is discriminatory and get a ruling to that effect. This would stop "any" state from coming up with such legislation.

I have written to USCIS director and Chairperson of the immigration sub-committee in the House Zoe Logfren about the plight of EB3-I applicants, I have metioned it is mainly because thousands of 245I(Asylum) people were given Green cards from this category. There should be some kind of relief for us. More people write her or other congressmen/Senators it will get more attention. As far as I know 90% of the Lawmakers doesn't know about 245 I cases...

I took an infopass appointment on 12/13 and met with an IO. All the IO did was to e-mail the service center for FP. I now see two soft LUDs on 12/15 and 12/18 on my I-485. I don't know if these are related to the generation of FP notice or something else.

My wife will be on H1(currently on H4) october onwards...we received our EAD's yesterday. Can I still go and apply for SSN? I mean will that mean she is on EAD and H1 no longer valid?
In my case my wife was on H4. She had to activate EAD to begin working. For that reason she applied for a new SSN.
Based on my limited knowledge, if anybody activate's EAD and begins working on that EAD, they'll lose their H status. Experts need to confirm this.

Get your degrees evaluated by the certified evluators and add your experience to be qualified or you can go for EB 3 but your priority date will remain the same. A friend of mine was in the same boat, but had 3 years commerce college and 2 years MBA from UK and was in his 9th year of H1, I 140 was denied. He appealed and REAPPLIED I 140 with all the evaluations, he got approval in less than a month but EB3 with the same old priority date.

Thanks for your update Ramesh. My labor substituion is EB2. Prior to the filing I have 12 years of experience with 18 years of education. Now going for EB3 is filing a new labor under EB3 or file a new I-140 and say it is EB3 and not EB2. Could you please help me by providing more info on this?

I dont understand how my specific PD would help answer my questions , atleast in this case !! The PDs for EB3 india have moved from May 8 2001 to Aug 8 2001. Not a big move not a huge range of PDs in this bucket of PDs getting current in March. So I assume specific PDs within that bucket won't experience totally different results based on PD alone.
Anyway my PD is May 11 2001.

Does anyone know of any health centers in Jersey which do vaccinations for cheap or free.. I am sure there must be some public hospitals where you can walk in and just get the vaccinations - saying they are for safety.
I have heard that vaccinations are free in New York City Public Health Center.. Can anyone confirm that?

When markets worldwide rise or fall in response to election results in India, it gets major media attention everywhere because the audience is interested. I have an appointment set up with a doctor. However, the doctor is not listed as a USCIS authorized physician in the USCIS web site.
I called the doctor's office and they assure me that he does "immigration physicals" and has been doing them.( As a side note, there is another doctor in the same office who is on the approved list but he is on vacation)
Is the following website updated with list of eligible civil surgeons ? https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV
Please advise.

Thank you all for providing some excellent information. Special thanks to members waitnwatch and fromnaija for providing Arizona specific information. I certainly think that I should take this further in light of all the new information. I even talked to my GC attorny and he also thinks that I should have have given resident status.

After you have filed for labor or filed for 140 or only after filing of 485? Those 3 dates could be years apart and depending on how the university defines that you have filed for GC could determine the residency status. If you have any further information, please share.
